Kicking Up Our Heels
The Center for Women & Democracy celebrates International Women’s Day by heading to the Governor’s Mansion in Olympia where we toast the women of the Administration, on the Supreme Court and in the state Senate and House. We also honor and recognize women who are making great strides to advance other women in the state by giving them our Kicking Up Our Heels Award, to women who’ve stood up, spoken up, and stepped up to protect the rights of women.
This year, in partnership with the Washington State Women’s Commission, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in the United States and the 110th anniversary for the women’s vote in Washington State. Join top women in business, social justice and elected officials at the Temple of Justice and Governor’s Mansion in Olympia on Thursday, March 5, 2020!
All tickets offer fine Washington wine, special food prepared by the Governor’s Chef, and the opportunity to meet the Justices and our women legislators.
